Trilby's Notes

Trilby's Notes is a point-and-click horror adventure from Ben 'Yahtzee' Croshaw and part of the wider Chzo Mythos series. The game follows Trilby as he investigates a mysterious hotel and becomes involved in a disturbing supernatural mystery. Exploration, conversation, item use, and puzzle solving form the core of the experience, while the story gradually reveals increasingly unsettling details. The deliberately retro presentation works surprisingly well for the material, creating a creepy atmosphere without relying on modern graphical effects. Some puzzles can be suitably devious, so keeping an eye on everything around you is generally healthier than blindly clicking every object on the screen. Trilby's Notes is a memorable indie horror adventure for players who prefer unsettling stories and classic adventure mechanics over jump scares.
