Metaphobia

Metaphobia is a point-and-click adventure that deliberately embraces the classic detective story, putting you in the role of an investigator trying to unravel a suspicious murder. The game focuses on examining locations, collecting clues, talking to characters and gradually connecting apparently unrelated pieces of information. Its presentation has a distinctly retro adventure-game flavor, while the story takes itself seriously enough to create a proper mystery rather than turning everything into a joke. As usual with investigations of this kind, everybody seems to know something they are not particularly interested in telling you. The result is a compact and atmospheric adventure for players who enjoy old-school detective stories, careful observation and the satisfying moment when seemingly meaningless clues finally start making sense.
