GAME GENRE – Point-and-click adventure games are story-driven adventures built around exploration, conversation, puzzle solving, and interaction with the world rather than fast reflexes or combat. Players usually control a character by clicking on locations, objects, and characters, collecting items and combining them in often wonderfully illogical ways to overcome obstacles. The genre reached enormous popularity during the golden age of PC gaming. Although point-and-click adventures became less prominent with the rise of other gaming styles, independent developers and enthusiastic fans have kept the tradition alive, producing plenty of new and even free adventures.
