Quest for Glory II: Trial by Fire

Quest for Glory II: Trial by Fire is a fan-made remake of the classic Sierra adventure, rebuilding the second chapter of the beloved series with updated VGA graphics, improved presentation and plenty of respect for the original. You return as a hero who must survive the dangers of a desert kingdom while combining exploration, conversation, puzzles and traditional adventuring. Combat is also part of the journey, but solving problems intelligently remains just as important as having a sharp sword. The game preserves the humorous writing and flexible role-playing spirit that made the original series distinctive, while making the experience much friendlier to modern players. It is a remarkably affectionate remake and a fine reminder that good adventure design can survive decades surprisingly well.
