Flight of the Amazon Queen

Flight of the Amazon Queen is a classic 1995 point-and-click adventure from Interactive Binary Illusions, following pilot Joe King after he crash-lands in the Amazon and becomes involved in a bizarre kidnapping and conspiracy. The game combines colorful environments, eccentric characters, inventory puzzles, and plenty of comic dialogue, drawing heavily from the adventure traditions established by LucasArts. Its larger-than-life pulp atmosphere gives the story a wonderfully old-fashioned charm, with mad scientists, mysterious natives, and dangerous jungles all competing for attention. The puzzles can occasionally require the traditional adventure-game mindset of “try everything on everything,” but the humor and characters make the journey worthwhile. It is basically a B-movie adventure that you get to control.
