Torque

Torque is a compact action game from Jesse Venbrux, known for turning simple ideas into games with a distinctive sense of movement and experimentation. The player controls a character through fast-paced levels filled with obstacles and challenges, with the emphasis placed on momentum, timing, and figuring out how to navigate the environment effectively. As with several of Venbrux's games, the presentation is straightforward but the underlying gameplay has plenty of personality. It is the kind of experience that looks simple when you first see it and then somehow convinces you to restart a level because you are absolutely certain you can do it properly this time. Torque is a small but entertaining example of inventive independent game design.
