Mad TV

Mad TV is a wonderfully eccentric business simulation in which players take control of a television station and attempt to turn it into a ratings machine. Programming schedules, advertising, finances and competition all have to be managed, because apparently running television is only slightly less complicated than running a country. The game combines strategy with a healthy dose of satire, poking fun at the television industry while giving players plenty of opportunities to make questionable programming decisions. Its interface and presentation are unmistakably from the early 1990s, but the underlying idea remains surprisingly entertaining. For anyone who has ever looked at a terrible TV show and thought, 'I could probably do worse,' Mad TV provides the opportunity.
