Hyper Princess Pitch

Hyper Princess Pitch is a wonderfully strange action game from Daniel Remar that combines retro shooting with an intentionally absurd fantasy setting. You play a princess armed with considerably more firepower than royal etiquette probably recommends, battling enemies through colorful environments while collecting upgrades and causing general mayhem. The game does not take itself particularly seriously, and that is precisely where much of its charm comes from. Beneath the silly premise is a polished arcade experience with responsive controls, frantic action and enough variety to keep the shooting interesting. It is short enough to avoid becoming a second job, but substantial enough to feel like a proper adventure. Basically, it is royal succession by means of overwhelming firepower.
