Invaders: Corruption
Invaders: Corruption takes the classic space-invader concept and gives it a more modern independent-game treatment. Instead of simply repeating the familiar rows of descending aliens, it introduces its own enemies, challenges and variations on the arcade formula. The player must survive increasingly dangerous waves while managing movement and firepower, with the familiar rhythm of attack, dodge and repeat providing the foundation. Its modest presentation is part of the appeal, recalling the era when arcade-inspired games could be built around one strong idea without requiring a cinematic universe. Invaders: Corruption is a neat little reminder that the basic space-shooter formula remains remarkably durable. Apparently, humanity still has not solved the alien-invasion problem.
