Yabog
Released in 1995 by Kevin Peck, Yabog is the kind of oddball title that makes you think someone coded it in their basement while laughing maniacally. The game’s name alone feels like a sneeze, and the experience isn’t far off: quick, chaotic, and oddly satisfying. It’s a shareware-era relic, full of simple mechanics wrapped in that unmistakable “I just figured out how to make sprites move” energy. It’s not polished, but it has heart—and like many games of its era, half the fun is in discovering just how weird things can get.
