PC*Bert

PC*Bert is a freeware homage to the classic arcade game Q*bert, replacing the original character with a PC-themed twist and sending you bouncing around colorful platforms once again. The basic idea remains wonderfully simple: jump across the pyramid, change the blocks to the required color and avoid anything that would like to turn you into digital roadkill. The challenge comes from planning your route while enemies and hazards make every jump increasingly awkward. Its 1990s presentation gives it plenty of nostalgic charm, especially for players who remember the era when freeware developers happily recreated their favorite arcade games just because they could.
