Urban Terror
Urban Terror is a multiplayer first-person shooter that combines traditional arena-shooter action with a more tactical approach to movement, weapons, and teamwork. Players compete across a variety of maps and game modes, using different weapons and equipment while relying on speed, positioning, and cooperation to survive. The game originated as a modification of the Quake III Arena engine and developed into a standalone experience with its own distinctive identity. Movement mechanics such as wall jumps and sliding add extra mobility, while team-based modes encourage players to work together rather than simply chase kills. Urban Terror offers a fast but tactical alternative to more conventional shooters, especially for players who enjoy multiplayer firefights where knowing when to sprint, when to hide, and when to panic are all equally valuable skills.
“Urban Terror™ is a free multiplayer first person shooter developed by FrozenSand, that will run on any Quake III Arena compatible engine. It is available for Windows, Linux and Macintosh.” - FrozenSand
