Legerdemain

Legerdemain is a text-heavy fantasy roguelike that combines procedural exploration with a surprisingly substantial world of quests, characters and adventures. Players create a character and set out across a randomly generated landscape, encountering towns, enemies, treasures and situations that can change from one game to another. Its text-based presentation may look austere, but it leaves plenty of room for imagination and keeps attention focused on decisions rather than graphics. The world is dangerous, naturally, and the usual roguelike rule applies: confidence is useful, but excessive confidence tends to produce very short careers.
