Fantasy Grounds

Fantasy Grounds is a virtual tabletop platform developed by SmiteWorks USA, designed to bring traditional role-playing sessions onto a computer. Rather than being a conventional game, it provides tools for running tabletop adventures, including maps, character sheets, dice, rules, combat management, and game-mastering features. Players can gather online and recreate much of the experience of sitting around a table covered in books, dice, snacks, and increasingly questionable character decisions. Its flexibility makes it useful for campaigns ranging from classic fantasy to more unusual settings. The dice may be digital, but the fundamental truth remains unchanged: someone will roll a natural one at precisely the worst possible moment.
