Empire Universe 3 is a browser-based space strategy game associated with Looki Publishing, giving players the opportunity to build an interstellar empire while competing with other players across a persistent universe. Expansion involves managing planets, resources, technology, fleets, diplomacy, and the inevitable realization that every ambitious space empire requires an unreasonable amount of administration. The game rewards planning rather than reflexes, allowing players to develop their civilization gradually and decide whether they would rather cooperate, negotiate, or simply build a fleet large enough to make diplomacy unnecessary. It is essentially the fantasy of ruling the galaxy translated into spreadsheets, timers, and the occasional very satisfying explosion.
