Decker

Decker is a 2002 cyberpunk roguelike created by Shawn Overcash, offering a text-heavy, turn-based interpretation of futuristic hacking and corporate espionage. Players take the role of a hacker navigating dangerous cyberspace, accepting missions, improving their abilities, acquiring equipment, and attempting to survive increasingly complicated jobs. The game embraces the traditional roguelike philosophy of procedural content and permanent consequences, so every decision can have unpleasant results. Its interface may look intimidating to players raised on modern graphics, but beneath the ASCII presentation lies a surprisingly deep little cyberpunk adventure. It proves that you do not need shiny graphics when imagination is doing most of the rendering.
