Battlecruiser 3000AD
When Battlecruiser 3000AD released in 1996, it promised the galaxy. Literally. Developed by 3000AD, it was supposed to be the ultimate space simulation—command ships, explore planets, fight wars, live the dream. Instead, players got a buggy, confusing, ambitious mess that was somehow both unplayable and brilliant. To its credit, the scale was unprecedented: you could pilot a massive battlecruiser, manage crew, and drop into planetary combat. Unfortunately, you also spent half your time fighting the game itself. Today it’s a cult classic: frustrating, fascinating, and proof that ambition doesn’t always equal polish.
