Death Rally

Death Rally is a 1996 top-down racing game from Remedy Entertainment that mixes high-speed competition with weapons, explosions, upgrades, and a healthy disregard for road safety. Players race against increasingly dangerous opponents while improving their vehicles and using firepower to make sure competitors have a less enjoyable journey. The perspective makes the action easy to understand but surprisingly tense, particularly when several cars, bullets, and obstacles occupy the same small stretch of track. Its gritty atmosphere and dark sense of humor give it plenty of character. This is racing for people who look at a peaceful Sunday drive and think, “Needs more machine guns.”
