Battlecruiser Millennium

The spiritual successor, Battlecruiser Millennium (2001), took everything from the original and tried to make it better. Spoiler: it sort of worked. It’s still a sprawling, ambitious beast where you can do practically anything in space if you’re willing to wrestle with a UI that looks like it was designed by an angry alien. The depth is astonishing—trade, diplomacy, combat, exploration—but so is the learning curve, which feels like climbing Everest with roller skates. Hardcore fans adore it, casual players run screaming. If you survive the tutorial, congratulations—you’re now officially a space commander with infinite patience.
