America's Army

America’s Army (2002, U.S. Army) is a peculiar hybrid of recruitment tool and FPS. You’ll find yourself learning tactical maneuvers, completing training exercises, and trying not to take it all too seriously while sniping other recruits online. Its realistic mechanics, combined with occasionally over-earnest tone, make it educational, challenging, and unintentionally hilarious at times. It’s one part simulator, one part shooter, and one part “wait, the Army made a video game?”
