Frozzd
Frozzd is another compact and eccentric creation from Jesse Venbrux, a developer with a particular talent for turning simple ideas into games that feel slightly unlike anything else. The game places you in a strange abstract environment where movement, timing and experimentation are more important than traditional storytelling. Its unusual visual style and straightforward mechanics make it easy to pick up, although mastering what is going on can take rather longer. There is a pleasing sense of experimentation throughout, as though someone started with a basic gameplay concept and then decided to see how far it could be pushed. Frozzd is best approached with an open mind and a willingness to discover its rules rather than expecting another conventional platformer or action game.
“The universe has been frozen, and you’re on an adventure together with King Mubbly to free others and fight the Frozzd. Run around on differently shaped planets while strategically attacking and defending with your little army. The game has a total of 12 large levels with each a unique enemy type.” - Jesse Venbrux
