Fallout Shelter

Fallout Shelter is Bethesda Game Studios' take on the management-simulation side of the Fallout universe, letting players oversee their very own underground vault. Released in 2015, it tasks you with assigning residents to jobs, expanding rooms, gathering resources, maintaining morale, and dealing with the occasional unpleasant visitor from the irradiated wasteland outside. The cheerful presentation creates an amusing contrast with the setting, where civilization has ended but somebody still has to organize the lunch schedule. Managing a vault can become surprisingly involved as the population grows and new threats appear. After all, surviving nuclear war is one thing; keeping dozens of vault dwellers productive is apparently the real challenge.
