Cube

Cube is an early open-source first-person shooter that puts speed, geometry and multiplayer combat ahead of cinematic storytelling. Developed by Dot3 Labs, it uses a distinctive engine designed to make level creation and editing unusually accessible, giving the game a strong community-driven character. The environments may look minimalist compared with modern shooters, but the fast movement and straightforward gunplay remain enjoyable. There is something refreshing about a shooter that does not need to explain twelve factions and a 400-page backstory before allowing you to fire a weapon.
