Classic Hangman

Classic Hangman takes one of the simplest word games ever devised and gives it a computerised makeover. The premise remains brutally uncomplicated: guess letters, discover the hidden word and try not to turn the poor stick figure into an unfortunate piece of pixel art. Released when home computers were still busy convincing people they were the future, games like this demonstrated how little hardware was actually required to produce an entertaining challenge. There are no sprawling worlds, cinematic cutscenes or skill trees here, just vocabulary, deduction and the occasional moment of complete disbelief when the final missing letter turns out to be something you really should have guessed.
