Best free "typing" games

GAME GENRE – Typing games turn one of the least glamorous computer skills into the main attraction: using a keyboard quickly and accurately. Gameplay revolves around typing letters, words, or entire phrases to complete objectives, defeat enemies, solve challenges, or simply achieve a high score. Some titles are designed mainly to improve typing speed and accuracy, while others disguise the exercise as a proper game, which is probably a much more effective way to practice without falling asleep. Classic word games such as Hangman fit comfortably into the genre, while more action-oriented titles may require players to type words before enemies reach them or the clock runs out. The faster you type, the better—but hitting the wrong key at the worst possible moment can make even a seasoned typist suddenly forget the alphabet.
