Everlasting Summer

Everlasting Summer is a 2014 visual novel from Soviet Games that begins with an ordinary young man falling asleep on a bus and waking up somewhere that looks suspiciously like a Soviet summer camp. What follows is a mixture of romance, mystery, comedy, drama, and increasingly strange discoveries as the protagonist encounters several memorable characters and attempts to understand what has happened to him. The bright summer setting contrasts nicely with the more serious themes underneath the surface, while player choices can lead the story in different directions. It is nostalgic, occasionally surreal, and surprisingly emotional. Naturally, waking up at a mysterious summer camp is rarely the beginning of a completely normal holiday.
