CaesarIA is what happens when fans of the old Caesar III decide they can’t let go. A fan-made project from 2015, it resurrects the glory of Roman city-building, complete with aqueducts, angry gods, and peasants who constantly complain about bread. It’s faithful but not slavish, adding modern tweaks while preserving the heart of the original. You’ll spend hours laying roads that don’t quite line up, wondering if your tax collectors are stealing more than they collect, and bracing yourself for barbarians at the gates. If you’ve ever wanted to boss around virtual Romans without needing an actual empire, this is your playground.
